Birla Institute of Technology admission procedure

Admission into engineering branch of Birla Institute of Technology & Science for its Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campus is done through common entrance test. Birla Institute of Technology & Science Aptitude Test is also known as BITSAT. This test is conducted all over India. Candidates are offered seat on the basis of their performance in BITSAT. Once exam process is over BITS conducts counseling for successful candidates.

For Dubai campus, BITS takes admission based on 12th score.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science is a private organization. Birla Institute of Technology & Science first started its educational wings as a trust which was established in 1929. First it started as Intermediate College. Within years Intermediate College became a degree college and by 1955 it started offering Masters in Electronics. Finally in 1964, Birla Institute of Technology & Science was established. It also acquired the status of “Deemed University” under UGC Act 1956. Till then it has shown substantial progress in every section. Now it has 3 campuses in India (Pilani, Goa and Hyderbad) and 1 campus in Dubai. Growth of Birla Institute of Technology and Science also has been applauded by Government of India. In 2018 it was the one among 6 institutes who are declared as “Institutes of Eminence”.
